The Eagle is also known to be the king of the air. Already in the ancient times he was a symbol for the salvation of the soul because it’s looking directly into the sun while flying upwards. It also stands for a strong focus, strength, courage and freedom. And that’s exactly what I want to increase today with the yoga asana named the Eagle – Garudasana.
I stand straight, bend the right knee and twist the left leg around the right one. Then I bend the right elbow and twist the left arm around the right one till the palms of my hands touch each other. This asana strengths the balance, the flexibility of the hips and the legs and stretches the back, the shoulders and the neck.
I wish you a wonderful Sunday!
