Day 120: Leg-swinging!

Because of the rainy weather last Sunday I turned on the television and watched a documentary on the „Dancing students of the Opera in Paris“ on German Arte channel. The youngsters are only 11 or 12 years old and follow already their dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer with such a passion; that’s really impressive. And now let’s start with today’s exercise for the lower back and the gluteal muscles, which of course is kind of a ballet move.

I stand straight with closed legs laterally to a wall and hold the balance on it with my right arm. Then I move my tensed leg a bit backwards and start to move it more backward with controlled movements without moving the hips and the torso. After a few repetitions I go on with the left leg.
